This magical piece depicts variations of the pasque flower which is an anemone. These flowers grow wild throughout the state of South Dakota and its blooming is one of the first signs of spring in South Dakota. A member of the buttercup family, the pasque is a small, lavender flower. Other variations of the anemone are white and red.
The paper of this artwork has been taped before painting to leave a natural white border around the artwork. The artwork will look stunning floated in a frame or matted in a traditional manner. The art is signed by the artist which is a one of a kind piece.

She has been published in The New York Times, and was recently a winner at Waterworks in Westchester. Schulman's uniqueness comes from her mastery of watercolor for portraits. The artist studied art and art history while at Dartmouth College and then pursued a Masters degree at M.I.T and a career on Wall Street. She left Wall Street and the hedge fund world behind in 2000 in order to pursue her passion for art full time. Schulman is an active juried member of The Mamaroneck Artist Guild, The Scarsdale Art Association and the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists.
